The Role Permission Summaries is a view (v_a_md_permission) in the User Management System (UMS). This view displays all of the roles, associated resources and applicable operations that are currently set up in the system. You cannot edit any of the data in this table. You must use the Roles and/or Role Permissions views to add/edit roles and their associated resources and operations.

The following list defines every field available in the role permission summaries (v_a_md_permission) view in alphabetical order:

  • Create - when this operation is selected, the role is able to create new records.

  • Customize - when this operations is selected, the role is able to personalize views.

  • Delete - when this operations is selected, the role is able to delete records.

  • Execute – when this operations is selected, the role is able to run the view or resource name.

  • Export - when this operations is selected, the role is able to export records displayed in the search criteria grid to an Excel spread sheet.

  • Grant - when this operations is selected, the role is able to grant permissions for the current resource to other users (roles). Users who have a role with the grant permission on a resource may only grant operations they already have.

  • Maintain List - when this operations is selected, the role is able to maintain records via the Edit with Excel feature.

  • Permissions - expression column that provides a visual representation (icons) of the permissions granted to the resource/role record.

  • Read - when this operations is selected, the role is able to perform searches and queries.

  • Resource Name - displays the name of the resource assigned to the role.

  • Role Name – displays the name of the role.

  • Update - when this operations is selected, the role is able to overwrite an existing record with new information and update the database.
