Packing Entry (PS30)

The Packing Entry (PS30) module offers the following functionality:

• Processes single or multiple Sales Orders into a single Packing Session.
• Utilizes Paying Office control over Packing Criteria.
• Offers Packer specific operating controls.
• Provides option to scan Sales Order numbers, Packing Numbers, Carton Serial Numbers and items for fast, efficient data entry.
• Offers two methods of packing Sales Order items into cartons:
  • Single Order Carton Control - cartons can only be filled with one Sales Order.
  • Multi Order Carton Control - cartons can be filled with multiple Sales Orders.
• Allows the Packer to select from various Item Entry Methods such as UPC and Product Code.
• Offers two methods to enter quantities into the Packing System: scan/enter one item at a time or scan/enter the item once and key in the quantity packed.
• Validates packed quantities against shipped quantities from the Sales Order.
• Automatically builds carton details as the Sales Order is packed.
• Assigns a unique Carton ID to every Carton for accurate Carton tracking throughout the packing and shipping process.
• Produces Carton Labels (with bar code).
• Prints Packing Slip and Carton Content forms.
• Offers Operator specific printer assignments and Auto Print controls for all Packing Station forms/labels.
• Maintains Picker Accuracy statistics.
• Provides an option to review all packing details prior to confirming each Packing Session.
• A confirmation process authorizes the Packing Session for shipping.
• Allows the option to place the Packing Session on Hold as required. Packing Sessions on Hold are not eligible for shipping.
• Offers optional Supervisor level password overrides for specific functions. For example, a Supervisor password is required to release a Packing Session with packing discrepancies.
• Includes a Quick Ship option from within the Packing Session for times when the full Shipping System process is not needed.
