User Roles

The User Roles is a table (md_user_role) in the User Management System (UMS). This table is used to assign roles to users. The roles determine the views that user can access. For example, if a user requires access to the AP, AR, and GL views, then this user is assigned the AP, AR and GL roles in the User Roles table.

• Note: The system combines the existing permissions for a resource. For example, if one role contains a resource without Update permission and another role contains the same resource with Update permission, and both roles are assigned to the same user, the user will inherit the update Permission.

• Note: The system will prevent the modification or deletion of a personal role.

The following list defines every field available in the user roles (md_user_role) table in alphabetical order:

• Created By - displays the name of the user who created the record you are viewing or maintaining. May not be overridden.

• Created On - displays the date on which the record that you are creating or maintaining was created. May not be overridden. May also represent the creation date of the records you are attempting to retrieve.

• Role Name - displays the roles assigned to the user.

• User Name - displays the user to which the role is being assigned.
