Sales Rep Groups (SU09)

Sales Rep Groups are defined in SU09 and are assigned to the Sales Rep in SU09/Sales Reps. The combination of the Rep Group and the Sales Rep fields creates a Sales Rep code that is assigned to Customer in Maintain Customer Master (SU13/Info). This enables Customers to be reviewed and reports to be printed in Sales Rep/Customer sequence. The Sales Rep assigned to an Invoice is used to extract the appropriate Commission Rate.

The 'Rep Group' and the 'Sales Rep' field length is determined during your initial Enterprise set up. The 'Rep Group' can be from 1 to 4 alpha-numeric characters in length. The Rep Group/Sales Rep combination can be a maximum of 8 alpha-numeric characters in length.

Note: The 'Sales Rep Length' is displayed in Maintain Company (CC95). If the Sales Rep length is 6 and the total length of the Rep Group/Sales Rep combination is 8, then the Rep Group is a maximum of 2 characters in length.

Creating or Modifying Rep Groups:

1. Enter or select from the query a Rep Group. The Rep Group can be from 1 to 4 characters in length, depending on the parameters defined during the installation of Enterprise at your site. You may use an alpha-numeric combination.

2. Enter a description of the Rep Group in the Description field. The description can be a maximum of 30 alpha-numeric characters in length.

3. Click Update to add the Rep Group to the system.

Deleting a Rep Group:

1. Enter or select from the query the appropriate Rep Group.

2. Click Delete to remove the code from the system.

   Note: You cannot delete a Rep Group that contains Sales Reps.
