Quick Descriptions (SE15)

The Quick Descriptions (SE15) program may be used to maintain the Quick codes with the desired call description. You can select the Quick Descriptions from the Quick Code field on the Dispatch folder of Enter Service Calls (SE30).

Each service call requires a description of the work to be done on the equipment. For frequently used reasons for a service call, Quick Codes may be set up to speed up entry of the service call.

The following describes every field on the Call Types panel:

• Quick Code - Enter or select from the query a quick code. You can enter a maximum of 3 characters. This is a mandatory field.

• Quick Description - Enter a maximum of 150 characters for the quick description. This is a mandatory field.

The following table outlines the functionality of each button on the Quick Description panel:

Button Label	Icon	Functionality
Update		The Update button saves the information entered for the current record and clears all of the fields that do not contain defaults.
Delete		The Delete button deletes the current record.
New		The New button clears all of the fields that do not contain defaults without updating the current record.
