The Time Types (SE12) program is used to define different types of labour charges. A Time Type code must be entered for each labour line entered in Enter Service Calls (SE30)/Time.
The following describes every field on the Time Types panel:
- Time Type - Enter or select from the query a time type code. You can enter a maximum of 3 characters. This is a mandatory field.
The Time Type controls the Product Code and T.A.T. code that will be used on the invoice generated by the Invoice Listing and Creation (SE42) program.
- Time Type Description - Enter a maximum of 20 characters for the time type description. This is a mandatory field.
- Time Category - Enter or select from the query a time category. Each Time Type must be assigned to a system-defined Time Category. The pre-defined Time Categories are:
- 1 - Field Time
- 2 - Overtime
- 3 - Travel
- 4 - Down Time
- 5 - Misc.
Technician statistics track hours worked by the technician by time category, and can be printed by running the Technician Activity Report (SE50).
- Product - Enter a ‘Class Product’ type product code. For more information about Class Products, click here.
- TAT code - Enter or select from the query a TAT code. TAT codes are defined in Maintain T.A.T. Codes (IN02).
