Field Descriptions for Carton Details (PS30)
This list describes every field on the Carton Details folder:
- Packing No. - a unique system generated number assigned to a Packing Session. The Packing Number is assigned when the first Sales Order is scanned/entered.
- Sales Order - the Sales Order Number being packed displays in this field. You can scan the Sales Order barcode to populate this field, or you can enter the Sales Order Number manually. If the Sales Order is already in the Packing Session, you can select the Sales Order from the Query list.
- The first Sales Order entered in a Packing Number sets the Packing Criteria for the Packing Session.
- Carton Control - defines the way Sales Orders are packed into Cartons. This control is set at the Company level in Company Control Initialization (CC00/Packing Station) and can be changed by the Packer with a Supervisor override. The options available are:
- Single Order - limits the Packer to fill a carton with only one Sales Order. If more than one carton is required for this Sales Order then additional cartons must be used.
- Multi Order - allows the Packer to fill a carton with more than one Sales Order.
- Carton ID - the Carton ID for the Carton being packed/unpacked displays in this field. You can scan the Carton ID barcode to populate this field, or you can enter the Carton ID manually. If the Carton ID is already added to the Packing Number, you can select it from the Query list.

The cursor automatically defaults to the Item Entry field. For more information on the Item Entry sequence flow, click here.
- When entering Items (products), this field updates with each scan or entry.
- Quantity Entry Method - describes the way in which the Item Entry line updates. The default Quantity Entry Method setting is determined by the Packer ID defined in PS09/Packer Identification.
