Quantity Entry Method
The Quantity Entry Method determines the way in which the Item Entry line updates. There are two methods available:
- Auto - You scan or enter the Product based on the selected Item Entry Method, and as each item is scanned/entered the details appear in the list box below. Each scan updates the Pack Qty field and decreases the value in the Outstanding field.
- When scanning or entering Products by a GTIN code or a Supplier Product Code, the Pack Quantity automatically updates with the SKU Qty associated with the GTIN or Supplier Product Code when the Item Entry Method is set to: UCC-12UPC, EAN/UCC-13, EAN/UCC-14, EAN/UCC-8, Supplier Product Code, Universal (when one of the previous methods is scanned/entered), and Sales Order Line/Universal (when one of the previous methods is scanned/entered).
- Prompt - You scan or enter the Product based on the selected Item Entry Method, then count the Products to be packed and enter the value in the Pack Qty field. Click Update Line to update the information in the list box. The value in the Outstanding field decreases as the Pack Quantity field updates.
Note: When entering Products that are set up as Lot or Serial control in IM13, the Quantity Entry Method automatically becomes 'Prompt', even if 'Auto' was originally selected.
