Receiving Lot/Serial Controlled Products into Multi-bin Warehouses:

When a Lot or Serial (at the time of receipt) controlled product is entered in Enter Receipts/In-Transits (PO60) as in-transits, and the lot or serial numbers are entered at the time of receipt, one of the following messages displays when the receipt number is entered in PO63:

  1. If you enter a receipt number that includes a Lot Controlled product(s) and the lot(s) was entered against the product in PO60, the following message displays: "Do you wish to review the entered Lot Number(s) for the product XXXXXX? Yes/No".

  2. If you enter a receipt number that includes a Serialized product(s) and the serial number(s) was entered against the product in PO60, the following message displays: "Do you wish to review the entered serial number(s) for the product XXXXX? Yes/No". Note: This message displays once for each serialized product.

Once either message displays, you have the option to review the Lot or Serial number(s) entered:

  • If you select Yes, the Receive Lots and Serial Numbers window opens. The lot/serial number entered in PO60 displays in the list box of this window. If you want to change the lot/serial number, follow these steps:

    • Select the record from the list box and click Delete.

    • Enter a new lot/serial number and click Submit to update the record.

  • If you select No, the message window closes and the Receipt Number is updated and displays in the list box. If you decide to change the lot/serial number after the receipt has been updated to the list box, follow these steps:

    • Remove the record by clicking on the line in the list box, and then select Yes when the following message displays: "Do you wish to remove the receipt from the batch? Yes/No".

    • Once the record is removed from the list box, re-enter the receipt number. The Receive Lots and Serial Numbers window automatically opens. The lot/serial number(s) originally entered is removed.

    • Enter the new lot/serial number(s) and update the record.

Note: On the Receive Lots and Serial Numbers window, if you enter a 'received' quantity that is greater than or less than the quantity on the in-transit and then try to exit the Lots and Serial Numbers window, the following message displays: "Total assigned to bin/lot/serial is less than the receipt quantity. Cancel the difference of X? Yes/No". If you select Yes, the window closes and the following message displays: "Receipt quantity does not balance to the entered Lot Serial number quantities. Do you want to retry entry?".

  • If you select Yes, the Receive Lots and Serial Numbers window re-opens. You can make the necessary amendments and then update the record again.

  • If you select No, the receipt is removed from PO63. In order to receive the in-transit, you must do one of the following two options:

    • Accept the quantities entered in PO60 when receiving the receipt
      OR
    • Recall the in-transit into PO60 and modify the quantities.
