Troubleshooting In-transits (PO60)
Here is a list of common issues:
- Elite WMS is our warehouse management system, and I want to receive in-transit items.
When you are processing in-transit items from a purchase order, you must create the in-transits in PFE before any stock is received against the PO in Elite WMS.
- If an in-transit without a PO is recalled and the Update Batch button is clicked, the following message displays: "Receipt xxxxx has non-PO receiving lines. This is not supported for WMS activated warehouses. The receipt was not downloaded to WMS. OK".
- In-transits created in PO60 without a PO must be deleted and a PO must be created for the product(s) and re-entered in PO60 as an in-transit before the in-transit can be downloaded to Elite WMS.
- If the PO is being received or has been received in Elite WMS, and you try to put the PO in in-transit status, the following message displays: "Purchase Order 000123 is currently being received in the WMS. You may not put it in-transit until WMS has finished processing the receipt. OK".
- If the PO is being received or has been received by Elite WMS, you must receive the PO as a regular receipt.
- If there is an outstanding balance on a line from a regular receipt when PO64 is accepted, then you can put the balance of that line into an in-transit receipt.
- How do I enter in-transits so that they are sent to the Elite WMS warehouse?
Purchase orders that are put into in-transit status do not need to be printed by PO40 or PO42 in order to be sent to Elite WMS. At the same time, if the PO has been printed by PO40/42 you can still put it into in-transit status as long as the PO is not in the process of being received by Elite WMS.
- If the PO has not been printed via PO40/42, the PO/in-transit is sent to Elite WMS when:
- The line is partially put in-transit in PO60 and updated. Two records are sent to Elite WMS: one for the regular PO and one for the in-transit.
- The line is fully put in-transit in PO60 and updated. In this case, only the in-transit record is sent to Elite WMS.
- If the PO has been printed in PO40/42:
- The PO is sent to Elite WMS when PO40/42 runs, as per normal PFE/Elite WMS processing.
- When the PO is put in-transit in PO60, the record in WMS is not removed.
- If a line on a PO is put in-transit in PO60:
- If the PO is partially put in-transit, when PO60 is updated, a new in-transit record is sent to Elite WMS and the existing record in Elite WMS for the PO is updated with the new order quantity.
- If a PO is fully put in-transit, when PO60 is updated, the existing record in Elite WMS is removed and a new record for the in-transit is sent to Elite WMS.
- Can I edit a PO once it is in-transit?
The order quantity for in-transits can be increased or decreased. Once PO60 is updated, the new quantity is sent to Elite WMS.
-
If you reduce the order quantity to 0 (cancelling the order), the PO is removed from Elite WMS.
- You cannot add more products to the receipt in PO60. The 'Without PO' folder is unavailable when Elite WMS is used as your warehouse management system.
- Can I recall an in-transit that has been sent to Elite WMS?
You can recall an in-transit PO into PO60 as long as the PO is not in the process of being received or is received. Once the in-transit PO is flagged as 'Plan & Receive' in Elite WMS you cannot recall the in-transit in PFE.
- If you attempt to recall the in-transit in PO60 once Elite WMS is receiving or has received the in-transit, the following message displays: "In-transit 00123 is currently being received by Warehouse Management. OK".
