Physical Inventory Page Total (PI11)
The Physical Inventory Page Total (PI11) program is used by the Tag Full, Tag Partial, Sheet Full, and Sheet Partial count methods. For more information, see Using Physical Inventory.
- PI11 works with Warehouse restrictions. When you first open PI11, the Operator's default Warehouse is selected. In multi-Warehouse environments, use the Options menu to change your Warehouse selection.
- If you select a Warehouse that is not initialized in Set-Up Files for Warehouse (PI01), the following message displays: "Warehouse (Warehouse Number) not initialized for Physical Inventory in program PI01. Do you wish to select another warehouse? Yes/No". Select Yes to select another Warehouse. Select No to cancel the request.
- As Count Sheets or batches of Tags are returned for entry, the total of the units counted on each Count Sheet/Tag batch is manually calculated and recorded using PI11. As counts are entered in Physical Count Entry PI12, a total of the entered count units is accumulated for each Count Sheet page or Tag range. These totals are compared to the Count Total(s) entered in PI11 in order to validate that the count quantities were entered correctly; the totals should be equal. Although entry of the manually calculated total is not mandatory, the verification routine helps to identify data input errors.
There are two folders on PI11:
- Count Sheet Method
- Tag Method
Depending on the method set up in Set-Up Files for Warehouse (PI01), you will use one of the two folders. Please click on the links provided for additional details.
The following field appears in the Header section of PI11:
- Count Area - enter a valid Count Area for this count. Count Areas are defined in Physical Count Area Creation (PI04). This field is common to both Count Sheet and Tag based counts.
