Examples of Below Minimum Order Value Holds

1. If total order value = 0.00 but there is something shippable, the order will not be held and a picking slip will be printed. This test is to accommodate shipment of samples that go out no charge.

2. Similarly, if the total order value is > $20 and the only item that is shippable has a value = 0 then a picking slip will print for the shippable product.

3. In OE30 if the total order value is > 0 but < $20 then you get a warning message and an option to Put On Hold/Add to Order/Override Hold.

4. If the total order value is > $20 but the shippable is < $20 you get no message in OE30. However, when OE32 sees that the shippable value is < $20 it puts the order on Below Minimum Order Hold. This is done to avoid INITIAL shipments of very low value without someone first having a chance to approve the shipment. Backorders of very low value are caught by the Below Minimum B/O Value test, but if OE32 didn't do this test for shipping document 01 then a low-value initial shipment would slip through.

The following examples demonstrate the 4 scenarios above:

TEST 1: Simulate shipment of samples at no charge

• Ship=1
• Price=0.00

  Result: No warning in OE30; picking slip printed in OE34.

TEST 2: Simulate shipment of sample at no charge when other products are on backorder:

LN001:
• Order=1
• B/O=1
• Ship=0
• Price=500.00

LN002:
• Order=1
• B/O=0
• Ship=1
• Price=0.00

Result: Picking slip will print for LN002.

TEST 3: Total order value below $20

• Order=1
• B/O=0
• Ship=1
• Price=1.00

  Result: Warning in OE30; order was put on hold; no picking slip printed.

TEST 4: Total order value > $20 but shippable < $20

• Order=10
• B/O=7
• Ship=3
• Price=5.00

  Result: Total order value > $20 but shippable < $20. No warning in OE30 but OE32 puts 1st shipment on hold.
