Release Backorders (OE61)

The Release Back Orders (OE61) program sets the back ordered quantity to shippable once stock is available. OE61 also sets back ordered to shippable for Products on dedicated Sales Orders once the Purchase Order(s) has been received. Back orders held in each Warehouse must be released individually, therefore the back orders released only relate to the Warehouse entered in the Header section.

• Note: The 'Back Order Control Method' in Company Control Initialization (CC00/Order Entry) must be set to 'Internal' for OE61 to be available. If the Back Order Control Method is set to 'External', the following message displays: "Backorder control method MUST be set to Internal! OK".

• Note: OE61 is not available if you use Order Management. The following message displays when you attempt to open OE61: "Order Management is active. Releasing backorders is incorporated into the stock allocation of Order Management. OK".
