PointForce 7.2 iTopia Hardware & Software Requirements

This document covers the minimum requirements running base modules only (up to 25 users).

The specifications are for the following version of PointForce Enterprise/iTopia:

  • PointForce Enterprise version 7.2 with iTopia 9.5

Server Configuration

Single Server Deployment (Dedicated):

PointForce Enterprise/iTopia SQL Server OS/Software
  • Intel 6 Core Xeon @ 2.4 GHz (or faster)
  • Minimum 32 GB of memory
  • SAS RAID Controller with 256 MB of Cache (or more)
  • 15k RPM SAS Hard Drives RAID 1 or 10 – Minimum array of 600 GB
  • 10/100/1000 Network Card (can be on-board)
  • Recommended: Redundant Power Supply
  • 1500 VA UPS
  • Microsoft Windows 2016 – 1 CAL per user
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2016 – 1 CAL per user
  • ProvideX PXPLUS2017 (14.00)

Multiple Server Deployment (Dedicated):

Note: If the SQL server is a separate server from the PFE application server, the virtuals either should be on the same physical server or the physicals weill need a 10GB connection between them.

PointForce Enterprise iTopia Server OS/Software
  • Intel 6 Core Xeon @ 2.4 GHz (or faster)
  • Minimum 16 GB of memory
  • SAS RAID Controller with 256 MB of Cache (or more)
  • 15k RPM SAS Hard Drives RAID 1 or 10 - Minimum array of 600 GB (depending on usage)
  • 10/100/1000 Network Card (can be on-board)
  • Recommended: Redundant Power Supply
  • 1500 VA UPS
  • Microsoft Windows 2016 - 1 CAL per user

  • ProvideX PXPLUS2017 (14.00)
SQL Server OS/Software
  • Intel 6 Core Xeon @ 2.4 GHz (or faster)
  • Minimum 24 GB of memory
  • SAS RAID Controller with 256 MB of Cache (or more)
  • 15k RPM SAS Hard Drives RAID 1 or 10 – Minimum array of 600 GB
  • 10/100/1000 Network Card (can be on-board)
  • Recommended: Redundant Power Supply
  • 1500 VA UPS
  • Microsoft Windows 2012 R2, 2016 - 1 CAL per user

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2016 - 1 CAL per user

Backup: Minimum of 5 x 1TB USB 3.0 External hard drives
Open File Solution Backup Software - Recommended Backup Assist (Recommendation by ATS)

** Please note that these are minimum requirements only and will change if client has more than 25 users and/or running add-on modules such as e-Commerce, Pack Station, etc.
