Ship Vias (SU09)
The Ship Vias (SU09) are defined in SU09 and are assigned to Customers or Prospects in Customer Master (SU13). You can also assign Ship Via (SU09) codes to Leads in the Lead Master-Complete Entry and Lead Master-Quick Entry views.
The code assigned to the Customer/Prospect becomes the default Ship Via code for Quotes, Sales Orders and Invoices for that Customer/Prospect. New shipping documents can be printed for selected Ship Via codes and sales can be reported by Ship Via code.
- Note: If you are using TMS with Packing Station, you must set up and maintain the TMS section of the Ship Via codes in PointForce Enterprise (PFE).
- The TMS fields on the SU09/Ship Via in PFE are:
- TMS Gateway
- TMS Service Code
- COD Required
Note: The ability to create and update information in Ship Vias (SU09) is controlled by the permissions (create, read, update and delete) assigned to the resource within the role. This help topic assumes that you have the appropriate permissions to create and update records in Ship Via (SU09). For more information, see Role Master-Permissions. |
The following fields are available on the Ship Via (SU09) view and are based on the order in which they appear in the grid on the search page:
- Company - every record in the PointForce iTopia SQL database includes the Company Number. When reviewing the results from your search, the Company number will display for all Customer records. Note: You cannot modify the Company number field in the grid.
- Ship Via Code - displays the Ship Via code. This code can be a maximum of 3 alpha numeric characters in length. You cannot modify this field in the grid.
- Description - displays the Description associated with the Ship Via code. You can edit the information in the grid by double clicking on the appropriate cell. Once you make the changes, click on the check mark to update the information or you can click on the 'x' to cancel the change request. The Description can be a maximum of 15 alpha numeric characters in length.
- The Ship Via Description prints on Sales Orders and Invoices.
- Name
- displays the full name of the Ship Via code. You can edit the information in the grid by double clicking on the appropriate cell. Once you make the changes, click on the check mark to update the information or you can click on the 'x' to cancel the change request. The Name can be a maximum of 30 alpha numeric characters in length.
- Address 1 - displays the Address line 1 for the Ship Via. You can edit the information in the grid by double clicking on the appropriate cell. Once you make the changes, click on the check mark to update the information or you can click on the 'x' to cancel the change request. The Address 1 can be a maximum of 30 alpha numeric characters in length.
- Address 2 - displays the Address line 2 for the Ship Via. You can edit the information in the grid by double clicking on the appropriate cell. Once you make the changes, click on the check mark to update the information or you can click on the 'x' to cancel the change request. The Address 2 can be a maximum of 30 alpha numeric characters in length.
- Address 3 - displays the Address line 3 for the Ship Via. You can edit the information in the grid by double clicking on the appropriate cell. Once you make the changes, click on the check mark to update the information or you can click on the 'x' to cancel the change request. The Address 3 can be a maximum of 30 alpha numeric characters in length.
- Postal/Zip Code - displays the Postal Code or Zip Code for the Ship Via. You can edit the information in the grid by double clicking on the appropriate cell. Once you make the changes, click on the check mark to update the information or you can click on the 'x' to cancel the change request. The Postal/Zip Code can be a maximum of 10 alpha numeric characters in length.
- TMS Gateway - this field is maintained in PFE Ship Vias (SU09). When TMS with Packing Station is set up in PFE, this field is set to 1-Tecsys TMS. If TMS with Packing Station is not set up, this field is set to 0-None. You cannot modify this field in the grid.
- TMS Service Code - this field is maintained in PFE SU09/Ship Vias. This field is only populated when TMS with Packing Station is set up in PFE. You cannot modify this field in the grid.
- COD Required - this field is maintained in PFE SU09/Ship Vias. This field is used when TMS with Packing Station is set up in PFE. Valid values are: 'Yes' and 'No'. You cannot modify this field in the grid.

Ship Via (SU09) - Details Page
When you click on the View Record Details icon for a specific record on the Ship Via (SU09) Search Results/Grid page, the Ship Via Detail page opens for that record.
The following list defines every field in the Details page:
- In the Main Context
section, the Company and Ship Via Code display as reference information for the detail record you are viewing.
- In the General section:
- Description - displays the Description associated with the Ship Via code. The Description can be a maximum of 15 alpha numeric characters in length.
- The Ship Via Description prints on Sales Orders and Invoices.
- Name - displays the full name of the Ship Via code. The Name can be a maximum of 30 alpha numeric characters in length.
- Address 1 - displays the Address line 1 for the Ship Via. The Address 1 can be a maximum of 30 alpha numeric characters in length.
- Address 2 - displays the Address line 2 for the Ship Via. The Address 2 can be a maximum of 30 alpha numeric characters in length.
- Address 3 - displays the Address line 3 for the Ship Via. The Address 3 can be a maximum of 30 alpha numeric characters in length.
- Postal/Zip Code - displays the Postal Code or Zip Code for the Ship Via. The Postal/Zip Code can be a maximum of 10 alpha numeric characters in length.
- TMS Gateway - this field is maintained in PFE Ship Vias (SU09). When TMS with Packing Station is set up in PFE, this field is set to 1-Tecsys TMS. If TMS with Packing Station is not set up, this field is set to 0-None. You cannot modify this field.
- TMS Service Code - this field is maintained in PFE SU09/Ship Vias. This field is only populated when TMS with Packing Station is set up in PFE. You cannot modify this field.
- COD Required - this field is maintained in PFE SU09/Ship Vias. This field is used when TMS with Packing Station is set up in PFE. Valid values are: 'Yes' and 'No'. You cannot modify this field.
- In the Reference Information section:
- Creator - displays the user id of the user logged into the system when the Ship Via code was created.
- Time Created - displays the date and time at which the Ship Via code was created.
- Modifier - displays the user id of the user logged into the system when this Ship Via code was last updated.
- Last Change - displays the date and time at which the Ship Via code was last updated.
