Customer Attributes-Details Page

The Customer Attributes (SU13) allows you to add, modify and delete Attributes for the current Customer.

  • Attributes are created and maintained in the Customer Attribute Tables view, and if pre-defined values are associated with an Attribute, the Customer Attribute Values is also used to complete the set up of the Attribute.

Note: The ability to create and update information in SU13 is controlled by the permissions (create, read, update and delete) assigned to the resource within the role. This help topic assumes that you have the appropriate permissions to create and update records in SU13. For more information, see Role Master-Permissions.

The following fields are available on the Customer Attributes page:

  • In the Main Context section, the Company Number and Customer Code display as reference information for the Attribute record you are working with.

  • Attribute - enter or select from the look up the Attribute you want to assign to the Customer. Attributes are maintained in the Customer Attributes Table view. Note: You cannot enter the same Attribute more than once. If you enter an existing Attribute for the current Account, the Details page will open where you may edit or delete the record.

  • Attribute Type - displays the Attribute Type associated with the current Attribute. This field is for information purposes only and cannot be modified.

    • When you enter a new Attribute to the Customer record and tab out of the Attribute field, the Attribute Type associated with the Attribute displays in this field.

    • If there is no Attribute Type assigned to the Attribute, then this field is blank.

  • Value - enter or select from the look up a pre-defined Value set up for this Attribute. This is an optional field. Note: Not all Attributes have Values; if the lookup contains no records, then no pre-defined Values have been set up for the Attribute.

    • Regardless of whether or not Values exist for the Attribute, you can enter any value in this field to a maximum of 32 alpha numeric characters.

  • Date - enter or select from the calendar a Date that can be applied to the Attribute. This field is only available if the Attribute Type assigned to the Attribute is 'D-Date' in the Customer Attribute Table or if there is no Attribute Type assigned to the Attribute. This is an optional field.

This field is only available if the Attribute Type assigned to the Attribute is 'F-Flag' in the Customer Attribute Table or if there is no Attribute Type assigned to the Attribute. This is an optional field, with the default set to 'No'.

  • Integer - enter a whole number into the Integer field, as it applies to the Attribute. This field is only available if the Attribute Type assigned to the Attribute is 'I-Integer' in the Customer Attribute Table or if there is no Attribute Type assigned to the Attribute.
