Sales Rep Groups (SU09)

 
The Sales Rep Groups (SU09) are defined in SU09 and are assigned to the Sales Rep in Sales Reps (SU09). The combination of the Rep Group and the Sales Rep Code fields creates a Sales Rep that is assigned to Customer in Maintain Customer Master (SU13) as well as to Leads in the Lead Master. This enables Customers to be reviewed and reports to be printed in Sales Rep/Customer sequence. The Sales Rep assigned to an Invoice is used to extract the appropriate Commission Rate.

• The 'Rep Group' and the 'Sales Rep Code' field length is determined during your initial Enterprise set up. The 'Rep Group' can be from 1 to 4 alpha-numeric characters in length. The Rep Group/Sales Rep Code combination can be a maximum of 8 alpha-numeric characters in length.

• Note: The 'Sales Rep Length' is displayed in Maintain Company (CC95). If the Sales Rep Code length is 6 and the total length of the Rep Group/Sales Rep Code combination is 8, then the Rep Group is a maximum of 2 characters in length.

The following fields are available on the Sales Rep Group (SU09) view and are based on the order in which they appear in the grid on the search page:

• Company - every record in the PointForce iTopia SQL database includes the Company Number. When reviewing the results from your search, the Company number will display for all Customer records. Note: You cannot modify the Company number field in the grid.

• Sales Rep Group - displays the Sales Rep Group code. The Rep Group can be from 1 to 4 alpha numeric characters in length, depending on the parameters defined during the installation of Enterprise at your site. You cannot modify this field in the grid.

• Group Description - displays the Description associated with the Sales Rep Group code. You can edit the information in the grid by double clicking on the appropriate cell. Once you make the changes, click on the check mark to update the information or you can click on the 'x' to cancel the change request. The Group Description can be a maximum of 30 alpha numeric characters in length.

Sales Rep Group (SU09) - Details Page

The following list defines every field in the Details page:

• In the Main Context section, the Company and Sales Rep Group code display as reference information for the detail record you are viewing.

• In the General section:
  • Group Description - displays the Description associated with the Sales Rep Group code. The Group Description can be a maximum of 30 alpha numeric characters in length.

  • House Rep Group - (only available in PFE 6.3/PFiT 8.4.1 and higher) this field is only enabled when e-Scan is active. When a sales rep group is also flagged as a house rep group and a sales rep is assigned the sales rep group, the sales rep is considered a house rep. House reps in e-Scan can access all customers, whereas regular sales reps can access only the customers assigned to them via EC31.

    There are two options available from drop list:

    • Yes – the sales rep group is flagged as a house rep group. When a sales rep is assigned the sales rep group, they can create shopping carts for all customers.

    • No – when a sales rep is assigned the sales rep group, they can create shopping carts for customers assigned to them in Contact References (EC31).

• In the Reference Information section:
  • Creator - displays the user id of the user logged into the system when the Sales Rep Group code was created.

  • Time Created - displays the date and time at which the Sales Rep Group code was created.

  • Modifier - displays the user id of the user logged into the system when this Sales Rep Group code was last updated.

  • Last Change - displays the date and time at which the Sales Rep Group code was last updated.
