Lead Contact Accounts
The Lead Contact Accounts allows you to maintain account information for your lead contacts. When you first access the Lead Contact Accounts, you open the "Lead Contact Accounts-Search Criteria/Results" page.
- The Search Criteria/Results page includes only a sub-set of all of the fields available on the Lead Contact Accounts. The remaining fields are found on the Lead Contact Accounts-Details page. The Search Criteria/Results page also includes all of the fields required for Export to Outlook.
Note: The ability to create and update information in the Leads Contact Accounts table is controlled by the permissions (create, read, update and delete) assigned to the resource within the role. This help topic assumes that you have the appropriate permissions to create and update records in the Lead Contact Accounts. For more information, see Role Master-Permissions. |
The following specifications apply to the lead contact account table:
- A lead contact can be assigned to active leads only.
- A lead contact can be assigned to multiple leads.
- A lead contact must be manually deleted when it is no longer required. However, you cannot delete a lead contact when it is assigned to a lead in lead contact accounts.
- Lead contacts that are assigned to leads are automatically deleted once the lead becomes a prospect.
The lead contact account view is a unique view in that you cannot edit or delete any of the detailed information directly in this view. All of the information associated with the lead contact account record defaults from the lead contact master record.
You can access information for an existing lead contact account or you can create a new lead contact account record. The following fields are available on the Lead Contact Accounts and are based on the order in which they appear in the results section on the search page:
