Territories (SU09)

Index Territories (SU09)-Search Criteria/Grid Territories (SU09)-Details Page Create a New Territory (SU09) |
The Territories (SU09) are defined in SU09 and are assigned to Customers or Prospects in Customer Master (SU13). You can also assign Territory (SU09) codes to Leads in the Lead Master-Complete Entry and Lead Master-Quick Entry views.
The Territory Codes categorize Customers/Prospects into Sales Territories. This enables accounts to be reviewed and reports to be printed in Territory/Customer sequence.
| Note: The ability to create and update information in Territories (SU09) is controlled by the permissions (create, read, update and delete) assigned to the resource within the role. This help topic assumes that you have the appropriate permissions to create and update records in Territory (SU09). For more information, see Role Master-Permissions. |
The following fields are available on the Territories (SU09) view and are based on the order in which they appear in the grid on the search page:
- Company Number - every record in the PointForce iTopia SQL database includes the Company Number. When reviewing the results from your search, the Company number will display for all Customer records. Note: You cannot modify the Company number field in the grid.
- Territory Code - displays the Territory code. This code can be a maximum of 3 alpha numeric characters in length. You cannot modify this field in the grid.
- Territory Name - displays the Name associated with the Territory code. You can edit the information in the grid by double clicking on the appropriate cell. Once you make the changes, click on the check mark to update the information or you can click on the 'x' to cancel the change request. The Territory Name can be a maximum of 20 alpha numeric characters in length.
- The Territory Name prints as a report sub-heading whenever an Accounts Receivable or Sales Analysis report is printed in Territory sequence.

Territory (SU09) - Details Page
When you click on the View Record Details icon
for a specific record on the Territories (SU09) Search Results/Grid page, the Territories Detail page opens for that record.
The following list defines every field in the Details page:
- In the Main Context section, the Company Number and Territory Code display as reference information for the detail record you are viewing.
- In the General section:
- Territory Name - displays the Name associated with the Territory code. The Name can be a maximum of 20 alpha numeric characters in length. The Territory Name prints as a report sub-heading whenever an Accounts Receivable or Sales Analysis report is printed in Territory sequence.
- In the Reference Information section:
- Creator - displays the user id of the user logged into the system when the Territory code was created.
- Time Created - displays the date and time at which the Territory code was created.
- Modifier - displays the user id of the user logged into the system when this Territory code was last updated.
- Last Change - displays the date and time at which the Territory code was last updated.
- Creator - displays the user id of the user logged into the system when the Territory code was created.
