Refresh Data Dictionary & Literals

The Refresh Data Dictionary & Literals module is found in the Metadata Administration section of iTopia. In order to have literal or metadata changes take effect in iTopia, you must run the Refresh Data Dictionary & Literals module.

The following steps are required to refresh the Data Dictionary and Literals module:

  1. When the changes to the literal text are completed in the Literal-Text table, open the Refresh Data Dictionary and Literals view.

  2. The Refresh Data Dictionary and Literals view displays the following information:

    • Completion Time - the last date and time the refresh was run.

    • Duration - the length of time it took to complete the last refresh.

  3. Click the Launch Reload Agent link (located below the Completion Time and Duration fields).

  4. The following message displays: "Your reload request is in progress", along with the start time (current date and time) and a progress bar that updates as the reload progresses.

  5. When the reload is complete, the following message displays: "Loading Complete", along with the Completion Time (date and time) and the Duration of the process.

  6. Click Close to exit from this view.
