Services Monitor

• Currently, the only service that may require intervention is the 'ibis-XML Transaction in'. This service is used by the Execute Customer Recode/Merge (RM85) and Delete Inactive Customers (SU16) programs in PointForce Enterprise (PFE).

• All services in the Services Monitor view are started automatically when iTopia is initiated.

You can click on the Refresh hyperlink if queue timer entries are added, modified or deleted and you want these to take effect without having to bring down the application server. Note: This link does not affect the 'ibis-XML Transaction in' service.

Here is a possible scenario where you might be required to start the 'ibis-XML Transaction in' service in the Services Monitor view:

• You run the Execute Customer Recode/Merge (RM85) or Delete Inactive Customers (SU16) program in PFE.

• When you check the iBIS Queue Message view, it displays transactions with an 'Is Error' status of 'No'. If these messages are not automatically removed from the Queue Message view after a reasonable length of time the 'ibis-XML Transaction in' service may have stopped running.

• You should open the Services Monitor view and ensure that the 'ibis-XML Transaction in' is started. If it is not (i.e. if the link beside this entry is set to Start), then you must start the service manually by clicking the link. When the service is running, the link is set to Stop.
