The Color/Size Code is a code that indicates a color or size. This code is used with the Product Code:
- The Color/Size Code is a six character code that is defined in IM09 and is assigned to products in Maintain Inventory Master (IM13).
- The structure of the Product Code allows for a meaningful six-character suffix to be added at the end of the Product Code to denote color or size of the product.
- The Product Code and the Color/Size Code must be separated by symbol, such as a dash
'-'. To determine the Color Separator symbol used by your company, go to CC00/Inventory Control, Color Separator field. (Note: You cannot edit this field in CC00, it is for display purposes only.)
- An example of a Product Code with Color/Size Code is: 1234-GREEN.
Products with the same Product Code, regardless of the Color/Size Code, are known as Common Products.
Setting Up a Color/Size Code:
- Enter a color or size code in the Color Code field. This code can be a maximum of 6 characters in length. You may use an alpha-numeric combination.
- Enter a description of the Color/Size Code in the Desc. Main Language field. The description can be a maximum of 20 characters in length.
- Enter a description in a second language in the Desc. Second Language field. The description can be a maximum of 20 characters in length.
