Product Material Composition and Percentage

You can enter up to seven material type codes for each product. For each material type selected, you must enter a corresponding percentage value.

There are some additional details associated with Material Type 1 or the primary material type:

  • The primary material type is entered in the Material Type 1 field.

  • In the associated Material Type Percent 1 field, enter the percentage of the product that is made from the primary material. Note: The primary material must have the highest percentage amount.

  • If there are equal amounts of two materials, for example a '50/50' poly-cotton blend, the material entered on the Material Type 1 line represents the primary material and must have the highest percentage. In this case, you can enter 50.1% (and the second material 49.9%).

  • The Export Invoice Print (IN52) includes the primary material for the product.

There are a number of rules regarding the entry of materials and percentages:

  1. The primary material must have the highest percentage amount.

  2. The material percent entered must be greater than zero.

  3. The total material percent (maximum tally) cannot exceed 100%.
