Package Descriptions (IM09)

Package Descriptions are defined in IM09 and are assigned to products in Maintain Inventory Master (IM13). You may have products packaged in wooden boxes, printed boxes, black boxes, or cone boxes; with this code, you can easily identify products by their package description.

1. Enter a code in the Package Description field. This code can be a maximum of 10 characters in length. You may use an alpha-numeric combination.

2. Enter a description of the Package Description Code in the Description field. The description can be a maximum of 30 characters in length.

3. Click Submit to add this code to the system.

The following table outlines the functionality of each button on the Package Descriptions folder:

Button Label	Icon	Functionality
Submit		Saves the information entered for the current package description.
Delete		Deletes the current package description. Note: You cannot delete a package description if the code is assigned to a product in IM13.
Clear		All fields on this folder clear and you can begin adding a new package description record.
