Unit of Measure (ICM_IM09)
The Unit of Measure (ibis_icm.im09) view allows you to define the units of measure codes used by your company. Units of measure codes are assigned to:
- Products in the Products (ici1.im13) view.
- Suppliers in the P/O Purchasing Information (ibis_popi.po13) view.
- Price lists in the Price Lists by Product (ibis_icplp.im18) view.
- Future price lists in Future Product Price Lists (ibis_im21) view.
Units of Measure codes are used as follows:
- As stock keeping unit of measure codes describing the way in which product quantities are expressed. Examples include: quantity on hand, quantity on reserve, or quantity on back order. Customer order quantities are expressed in this unit of measure. Inventory balances are reported or displayed using this unit of measure.
- As purchasing unit of measure codes describing the way in which the 'on order' quantity of a product is expressed. For example, Purchase Order quantities are expressed in this unit of measure.
- As price per codes describing the way in which the purchase or selling price of a product is expressed. Each code is assigned a price factor used to extend an Invoice, Purchase or Sales Order detail line.
The following list defines every field available in the unit of measure (icm) table in alphabetical order:
