Generate Transfer Pre-List (IC25)

The Generate Transfer Pre-List (IC25) program generates a pre-list of warehouse transfers.

You should run IC25 daily as the first step in creating suggested transfer orders.

This program generates a file of preliminary (or suggested) transfer orders for the range of products within a warehouse that you specify.

IC25 calculates on an “order up to max” method only. For items that have hit their reorder point, the reorder quantity will be equal to whatever is required to bring the stock level up to maximum.

Once the generation is complete in IC25 the Print Whse Transfer Pre-List (IC26) program provides a complete list of all the products for the selected warehouse. For more information about IC26 click here.

The following list defines every field on the Generate Transfer Pre-List :

• Warehouse - Enter or select from the query a warehouse for which you wish to generate transfers. Note: If you select the main warehouse for your location, the message ‘You cannot generate a transfer for the main warehouse. OK’ displays. Click ‘OK’ to clear the message and enter a different warehouse.

• Start at Product - Enter or select from the query the starting product for which you wish to generate the prelist. The default for this field is ‘********************’ (Beginning of file).

• End at Product - Enter or select from the query the ending product for which you wish generate the prelist. The default for this field is ‘^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^’ (End of file).

The following table outlines the functionality of each button on Generate Transfer Pre-List (IC25) :

Start Generation Now		The Start Generation Now button initiates the start of the pre-list generation. Once you select this button the message 'Do you wish to proceed? Yes to reset file before generating, No to add to existing file, or Cancel to About. Yes/No/Cancel' displays. Click 'Yes' to clear any existing files for the current warehouse and generate a new file/ Click 'No' to append to an existing file for the current warehouse. Click 'Cancel' to close the message and return to IC25.
New		The New button clears all of the non-defaulted fields.
