The Site Service Manager (EC20) program enables you to "switch off" the normal functions of your website and provide a very basic temporary replacement web page. A temporary page can let your users know that you are just performing maintenance and the website will be back up later. You can access this program in one of two methods:

  • You can go directly by entering EC20 on the PointForce Enterprise menu.

  • You can click on 'Site Service' on the Options Menu in Company Control Initialization (CC00/Options Tab/Evolve E-Commerce).

Note: In replicated systems, EC20 can only be maintained on the subscriber system to be effective because its data file is not replicated.

You can enable the Site Service Manager for an individual company or for all companies. If you enable EC20 for all PointForce Enterprise companies, then the HTML Object option in the 'While On Service Display' section is not available. If you enable EC20 for an individual company, the site service message can be individualized for that company.

  • If you want to adjust the Site Service Manager for an individual company, select the company before starting EC20, run EC20, and select the Company XX folder (where XX is the company you selected).

  • If you want to adjust the Site Service Manager for all companies, select the EC20 All Companies folder from any company.

Note: When the Site Service Manager is on, the website user cannot choose a language. Your site service message must be multilingual if you want to support more than one language.

Both the Company XX folder and the All Companies folder display the same fields with the following exceptions:

  • Current Company Status in the 'Status' section is only available on the Company XX folder.

  • HTML Object radio button in the 'While on Service Display' section is only available on the Company XX folder.
