Define Advertisement Space (EC14)

The Define Advertising Space (EC14) program defines the advertising space that can be viewed on the e-Commerce web site.

• This includes the space, or area, on a web page template that is reserved to show a particular type of advertisement in terms of width and height of the image so that the required space can be properly set aside by the page designer.

• The F14 Templates, created and maintained in HTML Page Templates (EC05), are configured to accept the advertising ads on selected pages. Although the advertising programs reviewed here are available for all e-Commerce templates, if the template is not F14, customization is required to alter the existing template (F10, F12 or other customized templates) to display advertisements.

The following list defines every field on EC14:

• Ad Space - enter or select from the query an Ad Space. You can enter a maximum of 32 alpha numeric characters in this field. The Ad Space is used by the following programs:
  • Maintain Advertising Packages (EC16) program links the Ad Space to an Advertising Package.

  • HTML Page Templates (EC05) program defines the Ad Space(s) that appear on the template page on the web site. It is expected that you will modify the 'Ad Space' lines on the templates to support the ad campaigns that you run through out the calendar year.

• List Box - displays all of the Ad Spaces currently defined. The List Box updates once you enter the information into the Ad Space, Width and Height fields and then update the record.

• Description - enter a Description of the Ad Space in this field. You can enter a maximum of 64 alpha numeric characters.

• Width in Pixels - enter the width of the Ad Space in pixels. You can enter a maximum of 9999 in this field. For more information on the Ad Space available on the F14 Templates, click here.

• Height in Pixels - enter the height of the Ad Space in pixels. You can enter a maximum of 9999 in this field. For more information on the Ad Space available on the F14 Templates, click here.

The following table outlines the functionality of each button on EC14:

Button Label	Icon	Functionality
Update		Saves the current Ad Space.
Delete		Deletes the current Ad Space. You cannot delete an Ad Space that exists in an Ad Package (EC16); you must remove the record from the Ad Package(s) before the delete function can be completed in EC14.
New		Clears the fields allowing you to add a new Ad Space.
