The S1 - Commodity YTD panel in Customer Consolidated Inquiries (ibis_su45) displays summarized product information relating to product purchases for the customer entered in the Header Section. Product sales are grouped together within their respective commodity codes, and sales statistics are displayed appropriately at the commodity code level only. This panel displays the sales dollars, gross margin, gross margin % and the sales increase/decrease % compared with the same period last year.
The following list defines every field on the commodity sales YTD panel:
- Enter or select from the query a commodity code in the commodity field on which the sales YTD statistics are displayed. The commodity codes are defined in Commodities (ibis_im02). Once the commodity code is entered, the product line and product group descriptions display below the commodity field.
- You can select all commodity codes by clicking on ALL. This option displays values for all of the commodity groups. The statistics displayed are for all commodity groupings.
- The list box is organized into three main sections:
- Line 1 and 2 identify the 'Current Period Sales' from S/A Sales Fiscal Period Close (ibis_SA89). The current month statistics are identified for both the current year and the previous year. Note: The year identifying each period represents the calendar year associated with the month, not the fiscal year.
- Lines 3, 4, and 5 identify the 'Fiscal Year Summary' information, in both Year-To-Date and Year Total formats:
- Line 3 represents the current fiscal year.
- Line 4 represents the previous fiscal year.
- Line 5 represents the total for the previous year's fiscal.
- Lines 6 and 7 represent the 'Next Period Sales'. The next month statistics are identified for both the current year and the previous year. Note: The year identifying each period (i.e. December 2001 and December 2000) represent the calendar year associated with the month, not the fiscal year.
The list box includes 5 columns of information:
- Period
- Sales Dollars
- Gross Margin
- Gross Margin %
- Sales Increase/Decrease %

- Note: The level of detail displayed in the list box depends on the 'Update customer History' flag set up in Company Control Initialization (CC00/Inventory). You cannot modify the setting for this flag in CC00 once it is set up. Valid options include:
- Full Commodity - sales statistics are stored by full commodity code (4 character commodity code).
- Product Line - sales statistics are stored by product line only (2 high-order characters of the commodity code).
