The CC00/Purchasing/General Ledger folder defines the parameters that effect the Purchasing/General Ledger set up.
- This folder identifies the General Ledger accounts that Inventory Receipts are posted to, based on the Warehouse and GL Code. Each combination of Warehouse and General Ledger code requires an Inventory account line entry in this table.
- If 'Receipts Accrual' is selected, Inventory Control Accounts are debited when the goods are received through the PO system (instead of when the supplier's Invoice is posted through the A/P system). The value of the debit equals the landed cost of the Product (total landed cost). The entries are posted upon acceptance of Print Receiving Register (PO64).
The following list defines every field on the Purchasing/General Ledger folder:
- Warehouse - enter or select from the query the 2-digit sales warehouse code. This code must have been previously defined in Maintain Sales Office/Warehouse Numbers (CC96).
- General Ledger Code - enter or select from the query a 2-character GL code, as previously defined via Maintain Inventory Tables (IM09/GL Codes. This code is part of the key used to extract the correct Inventory Control Account when receipts are processed.
- Inventory GL Acct - enter or select from the query a GL Inventory account code that should be debited when receipts are processed for the combination of Warehouse/GL Code.
