Troubleshooting 'Elite WMS' Issues in OE30:

Here are a number of common issues:

  • Why is the 'Pack and Mark Separately' (PAMS) check box unavailable?
    There are a two possible reasons that this check box is unavailable:

    1. You must be working with a sales office/warehouse that is set up as an Elite WMS warehouse in CC00/Warehouse Management Interface.

    2. If the sales office is an Elite WMS sales office, and the Order Type is set to 'Estimate' the PAMS check box is not available. Estimate orders are not sent to Elite WMS.

  • Are there any detail lines from the sales order that are NOT sent to Elite WMS?
    Yes, if the following conditions exist, the detail line will not be sent from PFE to Elite WMS:

    • The shippable value is negative.
    • The TAT code does not update inventory.
    • The line is a Supplementary Charge. Note: Freight charges are added by Elite WMS when the order is shipped (if applicable). When the invoice is generated, the freight added to the order is applied to the 'Freight Supplementary Charge Code' defined in CC00/Warehouse Management Interface for the Elite WMS warehouse.

  • Are Comment lines from OE30 sent to Elite WMS?
    Yes, the following types of comments are sent from PFE to Elite WMS:

    • General comments entered on the Lines folder of OE30.

    • Detail comments entered on the Lines folder of OE30.

    • Messages entered in Customer Messages (SU24) for the customer and flagged as 'Yes' to print in OE34.

    • Product compliance messages that are defined in Product Compliance (OE06) on the Default Warehouse Message folder and flagged as 'Whse Sales Order Detail'.

    • Customer compliance messages that are defined in Customer Compliance (OE07) on the Default Warehouse Message folder and flagged as 'Whse Sales Order Detail'.

    • Customer/Ship To compliance messages that are defined in Customer/Ship To Compliance (OE08) on the Default Warehouse Message folder and flagged as 'Whse Sales Order Detail'.

  • How do I recall an order in PFE that has been sent to Elite WMS?
    When you recall an order in PFE that has been sent to Elite WMS, timing is very important. You can only recall an order from Elite WMS while the order is in the Outbound Order Planning view in Elite WMS (that is, before the order has been flagged as 'Plan & Release' in the Wave Management view in Elite WMS).

    • To recall an order in PFE, use either OE30 or Recall Scheduled Orders (OE67).

    • When you recall an order in PFE, the order is removed from Elite WMS. You must reschedule the order via OE32, OE33 or OM33 in order to have it transferred back to Elite WMS.

  • What happens if the order is cancelled in the Elite WMS system?
    If an order is cancelled in Elite WMS, the order is automatically returned to PFE with a 'Manual Hold' flag.

  • Can I delete an order that is being picked in Elite WMS?
    No, orders cannot be deleted in PFE if the order is being picked in Elite WMS. In fact, orders cannot be recalled at this stage (they can only be recalled to PFE from Elite WMS while the order is in the Outbound Order Planning view).

    • If you attempt to delete the order while it is being picked, the following error message displays: "Order is being picked - notify warehouse of cancellation. OK". When you click OK to clear the message, the order is NOT deleted.

    • You must inform the warehouse that you want to cancel the order. The order must be removed from the Wave Management view in Elite WMS.

    • Once this is done, the order can be recalled in OE30 and then deleted. Once the order is recalled in PFE, it is removed from Elite WMS.

  • Elite WMS is the warehouse management system that we use. I want to create an RMA in OE30, can I do this?
    If the RMA has not been received by Elite WMS, the following message displays: "This RMA has not yet been received in the WMS, therefore product quantities have not been confirmed. Do you wish to continue anyway? Yes/No".

    • PFE allows you to continue using the RMA even though the quantities are not confirmed in Elite WMS. If you continue to generate the order from the RMA, invoices generated from these RMAs may be incorrect. When the RMA is actually received by Elite WMS, products on the RMA may be only partially received or not received at all.

  • If I continue to generate an RMA that has not been received by Elite WMS, will it impact inventory?
    The inventory in PFE will not be impacted as no lines on the RMA update inventory. When an RMA is received in Elite WMS the inventory is updated to the 'Hold' warehouse as defined in CC00/Warehouse Management Interface. Once the hold is removed in Elite WMS, the inventory is moved from the hold warehouse to the associated Elite WMS warehouse.

  • Can I delete an order that has been shipped by Elite WMS?
    No, the system will not allow you to delete an order that has been shipped by Elite WMS. Inventory levels between PFE and Elite WMS will become out-of-balance.

  • Can I enter the Hold Warehouse code in OE30?
    No, the warehouse defined as the Hold Warehouse is CC00/Warehouse Management Interface cannot be entered as the 'active' warehouse/sales office in OE30. The Hold Warehouse is used to store RMA items and inventory flagged as on-hold.
