Overview of the Service Module

The History folder in Service Call Entry (SE30) allows you to view service calls from the past for the piece of equipment entered in the header section. You can open the Display Call History (SE45) program from this folder to view additional details on the calls displayed in the list box.

The following list below defines every field on the History folder:

  • "Call" List Box - displays all of the past service calls recorded against the equipment entered in the header section. You can double click on a line in the list box to recall the details of the service call in the fields below the list box.

  • Call - enter the Service Call number from which to start the list box display.

  • Service History button - launches the Display Call History (SE45) program, automatically recalling the Service Call currently selected from the History List.

  • Call - displays the Service Call number of the Service Call highlighted in the list box. You cannot edit the information in this field.

  • Type - displays the Call Type from the Dispatch folder for the Service Call highlighted in the list box. You cannot edit the information in this field.

  • Tech - displays the Technician assigned to the Service Call from the Dispatch folder. You cannot edit the information in this field.

  • List Box - displays the remarks entered on the Dispatch folder for the Service Call. You cannot edit the information in this field.

The following table outlines the functionality of the button on the History folder:

Submit Submit This button is not available on the History folder.
Delete Delete This button is not available on the History folder.
Clear Clear Clears the current service call information allowing you to enter a new service call or recall an existing service call. Note: If you click New before you update the changes, the meter information will not be saved.
New Record New Record This button is not available on the History folder.
Dispatch Query Dispatch Query Locates a specific service call, or dispatches calls without opening the call in SE30. The Dispatch Service Calls browser contains the following information and functionality:

  • List Box - includes the following columns of information: Customer, Technician, City, Type, Equipment, Status (if the service call has been dispatched 'Disp'd' displays in the column), Call Date and Time.
  • Undispatched - when this radio button is selected only un-dispatched calls display.
  • All Calls - when this radio button is selected all calls are displayed.
  • Sort by - gives you the option to select one of multiple sort methods to review the open calls the list box though a drop list.
  • Name, Location, Service Call, Address 1, Address 2, City, Contact, Telephone - displays Customer and Contact information for the selected service call.
  • List Box - displays the details entered for the selected service call.
  • Select - the Select button opens the selected service call in the list box in SE30.
  • Dispatch Now - the Dispatch Now button sets the status of the selected service call in the list box to 'dispatched'.

Note: You cannot dispatch Service Calls in the following scenarios:

  • If the service call is an estimate.
  • If the service call contains missing mandatory fields.
  • If the service call is already dispatched.
  • If the service call is closed.
  • If the service call is for a customer that is on a credit hold.
