Service Call Technicians (SE11)

The Technicians (SE11) program is used to setup service technicians for use in Enter Service Calls (SE30). Each service call must be assigned a primary technician, even though time against the service call may be entered for multiple technicians. Each technician code is assigned the technician’s name, telephone number and regular hours worked.

The following list defines every field in SE11:

  • Technician - enter or select from the query a technician code. You can enter a maximum of 6 alpha numeric characters in this field. This is a mandatory field.

  • Technician Name - enter the technician's name to a maximum of 30 alpha numeric characters. This is a mandatory field.

  • Warehouse - enter or select from the query a default warehouse. The default warehouse refers to the location where the technician would normally draw replacement parts for a service call. The default warehouse for the primary technician on a service call is also the default warehouse when entering parts in SE30.

  • Telephone - enter a telephone number and extension (if applicable) for the technician. You can enter a maximum of 15 alpha numeric characters in this field.

  • Time In - enter the time, in hours and minutes, to indicate when the technician begins his/her day. Please use a 24-hour clock.

    • TIP: You can also use an 'a' to indicate AM or a 'p' to indicate PM and the system will convert the time entered to the 24 hour clock. For example, if you enter 0330a and tab out of the this field, the system converts this to 03:30 hours. You must enter all 4 digits of the time in this case.

  • Time Out - enter the time, in hours and minutes, to indicate when the technician ends his/her day. Please use a 24-hour clock.

    • TIP: You can also use an 'a' to indicate AM or a 'p' to indicate PM and the system will convert the time entered to the 24 hour clock. For example, if you enter 0530p and tab out of the this field, the system converts this to 17:30 hours. You must enter all 4 digits of the time in this case.

Note: The Time In and Time Out represent the technician's hours worked. The hours worked are used to validate time entered on a service call, issuing warnings if the time entered for a technician exceeds his/her normal working day.

  • Time for lunch - enter the time, in minutes, the technician is entitled for lunch.
