'Role Master' Permission grid

You can access the 'Role Master' Permissions grid using either of the following options:

  • From the Role Master view, click on the 'Use Record as Criteria for Action' icon to the left of the Role Name and then select 'Permissions'.

  • On the Details page of the selected record (in the Role Master view), click on the More Actions button and then select 'Permissions'.

Once the Permissions Grid is opened you can:

  • Add resources by entering the resource in the Add a Resource field.

  • Add or remove permissions using the check boxes in the grid.

  • Delete resources/permissions using the Delete Entry icon found at the far right of the grid.

The following fields are available on the 'Role Master' Permission grid view and are based on the order in which they appear in the grid on the search page:

  • Resource Name – displays the name of the resource assigned to the role. For more information on the types of Resources, click here.

  • Description – displays a description of the Resource Name.

  • Create, Customize, Delete, Execute, Export, Grant, Maintain List, Read, Update – the operations that can be applied to the selected resource. For more information on Operations click here.

For example, this is a portion of the permissions grid for the 'ibis_ar' role. All of the resources are displayed in alphabetical order along with their permissions.
