Receiving Stock in PO60 for Multi-bin Warehouses:

If you maintain multi-bin warehouses at your location, the following message displays when you use the 'Receipt' method to receive stock in PO60: "Should all receipts be assigned to the General Receiving Area? Yes/No". This allows you to receive products into the General Receiving Bin/Loc receiving area as defined in Company Control Initialization (CC00/Multi-Bin Warehouse Control) or into a specific bin locations as defined in Warehouse Layout Maintenance (WH10).

Note: This message displays under the following circumstances:

    1. After you create a NEW batch and select a RECEIPT batch, and:

      • Your main warehouse is multi-bin as defined in CC00/Inventory Control
        OR
      • Your default warehouse is multi-bin as set up in Maintain Operator Password/Privilege (CC03).

    2. After you select a multi-bin warehouse from the Options menu and you are working with a RECEIPT batch.

Once the message displays, you have the option to receive stock into the General Receiving Area:

  • If you select Yes to receive products into the General Receiving Area, you will not be prompted to select a bin location when the product is received.

  • If you select No you do not want to receive products into the General Receiving Area, the Receive Lots and Serial Numbers window automatically opens. You must enter a valid bin/location or select one from the Bin/Locs query. For more information on the Receive Lots and Serial Numbers window, click here.

Once the batch is updated (by clicking on Update Batch on the PO60 window), all of the received products are automatically allocated to the selected bins/locations for the current warehouse. Note: You can transfer stock to alternate locations using the Whse Relocate Stock (WH30) program. For more information on WH30, click here.
