Troubleshooting Elite WMS in IN67

Here is a list of common issues:

  • We have Elite WMS as our warehouse management system; when are RMAs sent from PFE to Elite WMS?
RMAs are initially sent to Elite WMS when you run and accept RMA Receiving Document Print (IN69) for the Elite WMS warehouse.

    • If an RMA is recalled in PFE, it is sent back to Elite WMS when the changes are complete in IN67 and the record is cleared.

  • How often can an RMA be received in an Elite WMS warehouse?
RMAs can only be received once in Elite WMS. A new RMA must be created for products not received by Elite WMS. For example, if you enter two products on an RMA and only one product is received by the Elite WMS warehouse, the second product is removed from the RMA when it is sent back to PFE. If the second product is still being returned, you must create a new RMA for that product.

  • Are there any detail lines from IN67 that are not sent to Elite WMS?
The following detail line restrictions exist for Elite WMS warehouses:

    • Detail lines must have a TAT code that does not update inventory. If the TAT code on a detail line does update inventory, the following message displays: "TAT code REG updates inventory. TAT codes used in RMA's are not allowed to update inventory. Please select another TAT code. OK".

    • Comment lines and/or supplementary charges are not sent to Elite WMS.

  • What is the WMS Status used for?

    • The WMS status is reserved for the RMA Upload Auto-process to indicate that an RMA has been processed by Elite WMS. Once an RMA is received in Elite WMS, the status field is automatically updated with this status, overriding the status originally entered. You cannot edit the status once the RMA is received in Elite WMS.

  • Can I recall an RMA from Elite WMS back to IN67?
You can recall an RMA in PFE until the RMA is flagged as 'Plan & Receive' in Elite WMS.

    • When you recall an RMA in PFE, the RMA is removed from Elite WMS.

    • To send the recalled RMA back to Elite WMS, click Clear in IN67 (or update the RMA and close IN67). You do not have to reprint the RMA in IN69.

    • If you attempt to recall an RMA that is being received in Elite WMS, the following message displays: "This RMA is currently being processed in WMS-it cannot be modified. OK".

  • Can I recall an RMA that has been received in Elite WMS?
Once an RMA is received in Elite WMS, the following rules apply:
    • You can update the following fields on the recalled RMA: Price, Per, Discount, TAT code (TAT code cannot update inventory) and Reason.

    • The Status field is automatically updated to a status of 'WMS'. If a status was entered when the RMA was created, the status is changed to 'WMS' and cannot be modified.

    • You cannot add new product lines to the RMA.

    • The Generate RMA button is not available.

    • You cannot delete product lines on a RMA. The Delete button is unavailable.

    • You can add comment lines and supplementary charges to the RMA.

    • You can delete the entire RMA even if a credit/invoice/sales order has not been generated from the RMA, but this action is not recommended. If you delete the RMA, the following message displays: "There is no Credit Note/Invoice/Order for RMA xxxxxx. Do you wish to delete the RMA? Yes/No".

  • Can I add a Model to an RMA if Elite WMS is my warehouse?
Model headers are not received by Elite WMS and must be dealt with accordingly in PFE.

  • What happens when I create an invoice/credit/order from an RMA that was received in an Elite WMS warehouse?
Once an invoice/credit/order is created from an RMA, the following information displays in IN67:

    • If the RMA transaction is created in IN41, then both the sales order and invoice/credit note numbers display in IN67.
    • If the RMA transaction is created in OE30, then only the sales order number displays in IN67.

Note: If the invoice/credit/sales order is deleted, these fields are cleared from IN67 for the RMA.

You cannot add or modify any of the detail line information once the RMA has been used to create an invoice/credit note/sales order. You can only review or delete the entire RMA. The following message displays if you attempt to update the RMA: "Cannot Update. A RMA transaction has been created in IN41 or OE30 from the uploaded RMA. Review or Deletion only. OK".

  • What happens with the inventory when products are returned to an Elite WMS warehouse?
On the PFE side, RMA invoices do not update inventory as the TAT code is always set to one that does not update inventory.

Elite WMS controls the inventory from the RMAs. Once any shippable quantities are returned to Elite WMS, the stock is moved to the 'Hold' warehouse. The hold warehouse is defined in CC00/Warehouse Management Interface for the Elite WMS warehouse.

    • This stock is moved from the Hold warehouse to the Elite WMS warehouse by an Inventory Status Modification in Elite WMS.

    • Note: The 'Hold Code' PRMA must be set up in Elite WMS before entering RMAs.

  • We use the Elite WMS interface for warehouse management. Can I enter the Hold Warehouse code in IN67?
No, the warehouse defined as the Hold Warehouse is CC00/Warehouse Management Interface cannot be entered as the 'active' warehouse/sales office in IN67. The Hold Warehouse is used to store RMA items and inventory flagged as on-hold.
