Regular 24 Months (IM64)

The Regular, 24 months folder in Maintain Unit Demand History(IM64) contains the Regular Unit Demand for the previous 24 periods for the warehouse and product entered in the header section.

• You can modify any of the fields on this folder as required.

• The data is updated as a by-product of:
  1. New orders entered. This causes demand unit history to be updated. The history is used by the Purchasing system to create suggested purchase orders. This maintenance is typically not required unless an unusual sales transaction occurs that causes a spike or dip for a particular month.
     • For example, booked sales for a particular item are normally 50-100 units for any given month. One month a customer wants to use up their budget so they buy 200 units of this item. This should not be reflected for future forecasting. The amount can be changed using this program to reflect what would normally be sold, i.e. to smooth out the spikes or dips.

  2. Work order products received via PO60/64. For example, if you receive a WO product in PO60 that contains products 123 and 456, then the demand for these products is increased in ICBU.
