Carton Update/Entry Relationship (PS41)
On the Carton Details folder in Shipping Entry (PS41), there are two fields that function together:
- Carton Entry Method
- Carton Update Method
The Carton Entry Method selected affects the way the Carton Update Method works.
Note: If Weights and Measurements are entered in Packing Entry (PS30), they are move to Shipping Entry (PS41) and the PS41 functionality outlined in the table below is ignored. This note only applies when Weights and Measurements are entered in PS30.
The following table outlines the relationship between the two Carton Entry Methods and each of the Carton Update Methods:

- Carton info goes directly into list box for easy Carton entry. - The Est. Volume & Weight are moved over to the 'Actual' Volume and Weight fields. - To edit measurements or add a Tracking No., Shipper must recall the Carton from the list box, make changes and then click 'Update Carton'. - To delete a Carton, scan/enter Carton ID and then click 'Delete Carton' to delete the Carton ID from the list box.

- Scan/enter Carton ID in Carton ID field. - Once ID entered, cursor remains in Tracking No. field for easy data input. - Est. Volume & Weight are moved over to the 'Actual' Volume and Weight fields. - Shipper must click 'Update Carton' to add the Carton ID to the list box. - To delete a Carton, scan/enter Carton ID and then click 'Delete Carton' to delete the Carton ID from the list box.
