Resource Types

There are two types of Resources that you will be granting permissions on: Group resources and Individual resources.

  • Group resources represent a grouping of individual resources. For example, ibis_apfri resource (Freight Invoice Audit Trail) and ibis_apfrd (Freight Invoice Audit Trail-Detail) are two individual resources that are associated with the ibis_ap33.resource group resource.

  • To translate this to the menu structure in iTopia, the group resource ibis_ap33.resource appears as a folder "Freight Invoice Audit Trail (AP33)" on the AP menu. When you click on this folder, you see the two individual resources "Freight Invoice Audit Trail (AP33)" (ibis_apfri) and "Freight Invoice Audit Trail-Detail" (ibis_apfrd). When you click on either individual resource, the actual view opens.
