Additional Information Models Overview |
Models are defined as any number of individually stocked products that, when sold collectively, make up a unique inventory item. If the Model is not a fixed model, the component items may vary from sale to sale.
- Create a Product in Maintain Inventory Master (IM13) for the Model or 'model header record' with a product Type of MO for Model.
- Identify the Model product on the Model Maintenance (IM29/Models folder) and then identify the Components and Sub-Assemblies assigned to build the Model.
- The component items are coded as any of the following Product Types:
- PP - Purchased Product
- WO - Work Order
- AI - Assortment Item
- Sub-Assemblies are groups of Components, or even other Sub-Assemblies, which are created using IM29/Sub-Assemblies folder. Components are assigned to a sub-assembly in the same way as a component is assigned to a model.
- The component items are coded as any of the following Product Types:
